Medicaid Funded Mental Health Services (CORE):

Positive Change Counseling, LLC is a Child and Adolescent Medicaid approved CORE Provider access to no cost home and community mental and behavioral health services. Our services support the standards of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) to provide a public mental health system that supports accountability and consumer choice by providing services that focus on recovery, support family centered practice, show respect to children and their families, and are dedicated to excellence and positive outcomes. We accept Cenpatico (Peachstate), Amerigroup, Wellcare and Caresorce. We provide services in the following counties: Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, and Rockdale.

What Are CORE Services?

CORE Services are an array of mental health services available for youth age 5 to 18 with emotional and behavioral issues. Services can be initiated by Parents, Juvenile Probation officers, teachers, DFCS Workers, School Counselors, Residential Facilities, Foster Parents, etc. A multidisciplinary team works with the family to determine a child’s level of care and immediate service needs. Children and their families are then matched with services that will help them achieve their treatment goals and these services may include:
